A Moist Hide for Lady Squinty Dink the Dainty Skink, Duchess of bluTonguesville

Because Lady Dink has SO much shed built up on her tail, I made her a moist hide box today. It is a plastic shoe box with a hole cut in one end and filled with damp sphagnum moss. I didn't know how long it would take the Lady to discover what it was for.

It didn't take long to find out.

Lady Squinty Dink spent the day with her hide box.

UNDER her hide box.

Silly thing!

Until her eye infections clear up, I have to keep her on paper towels and towels with no loose substrate. I guess the towels are good for sleeping under.

This must mean that Lady Dink needs her own blankie! ;)
