Friday Happiness

Nova woke up and seemed SO much better today. He ate on his own, drank a lot of water, and had his eyes wide open.

Clack got up too. He ate some roaches and then tried to eat my fingers.

I think they are both happy it is Friday! I sure hope they both turned a corner and are healthy now.

Update on my Sicklies

Nova is the most concerning. He hardly moves and almost never opens his eyes all the way. He no longer eats on his own and so I force feed him daily. He goes back to the vet on Monday morning.

Clack is still really lethargic. He eats well though even if he hardly moves. I can't tell if he's sickly or lazy.

Smaug is better though not back to his feisty self. No more throwing up and totally normal pooping.

Nubs is still having completely liquid poop. :( No idea what the issue is. He doesn't have parasites.

I think Nubs might go to the vet too next week so we can find out what's going on with his guts.

Adoptable Beardies

My house is bursting at the seams with so many tanks and critters!! Time to adopt a few out.

I am willing to ship if you are willing to pick up the shipping costs and prove you have an appropriate set up ready. Message me through Facebook or use the Contact form on the right side of my blog to email me.

Click, about 5 months old, gender unknown. Eats great, is very curious and active, learning how to love his blankie. Will need insects every day for the rest of the year.

Clack, about 5 months old, gender unknown. Very mellow and chill. Loves to be wrapped up and held in his blankie. Eats great too. Will need insects everyday for the rest of the year.

Stormy, 3 year old female. Loves to eat and bask in sunny Windows. Still learning how to be held-- she does okay but doesn't love it. CanNOT be used as a breeder.

SPECIAL NEEDS BEARDIE

Dragon is a 1 year old-- yes, 1!!- special dragon who came to me with SEVERE MBD. His bones were rubber! It took awhile, but he is finally strong enough to eat on his own and gets around great.

He will always be very fragile even though his bones are firm now. He walks on his wrists and doesn't have a tail. He cannot be with cats/dogs/aggressive pets or kids who would be too hard on him.

Dragon is in a 20 gallon and will probably never need a bigger one since I don't think he'll grow much bigger. He's perfectly fine where he's at so I can be pickier about adopting him out.

He eats great (even his greens) and drinks out of his little water dish. He's very active and gets around as though he's not handicapped. He is in a tank next to another baby beardie and he likes the interaction they have through the glass. :) He can never ever ever be with another beardie though.

Update on Click & Clack

When I got these two last weekend, I was pretty sure that Click would take longer to heal than Clack. This week has proven me wrong.

Click has be in active and alert. He's even got a little belly. He's not really into being held because he prefers to run around and explore.

Clack has become really mellow and not interested in eating. He's discovered he LOVES being swaddled in his new blankie. :(  Not sure what's going on with him.

They are in my bedroom with my other babies and Skye & Katy. It's my sick room & nursery.

Top shelf-- left to right-- Click, Dragon, Remy.

Bottom shelf-- left to right-- Clack, Skye

Off to the left out of sight-- Katy.

Sicklies Update

Skye is doing great. It's been a week since she had her egg follicles and oviducts removed.

Clack is doing great. I have had few concerns about him.

Click is still struggling. I've been feeding him baby food squash with very little protein. Tonight I gave him a saline shot so he has some extra hydration in his body. He's not bad, but it will be awhile before he's healthy.

Katy has had a few up times, but is mostly pretty still. She looks a little better. Her skin is so thin and fragile that it's hard to give her saline injections. She finished her first deworming treatments and has had 3 antibiotic shots. It still is unknown if we'll be able to improve her kidney functions enough for her to go home.
