Norman stayed in the bath for over an hour. I kept adding warm water. He did not want to get out. Look at this video of him soaking in the warm water.

Shedding Norman
Norman has been shedding and I soaked him yesterday. He actually let me pull off a lot of the skin that was hanging on him. So exciting!

Flame's Boot
I love when older beardies shed because they do it one part at a time. Flame's leg has been shedding and it looks like he's wearing a boot or a knee high stocking.

Geckos Update
The male gecko is shedding today! Did you know that leopard geckos eat their shed skin? It's actually a good thing for them to do. Crazy, huh?
Here he is in his moist hide. Yes, it's a sour cream container with damp sphagnum moss in it.
Overalll, they are both doing great. They are in the sunshine in my room on "Gccko Row."

The female is getting ready to shed too.
Both are eating well and fairly active. The female was spinning in her tank this morning-- a sign of her Enigma syndrome. It's not contagious but it is aggravated by stress. My guess is that her shedding skin is irritating some of her wounds. I've had to stop soaking her because it pulled the scabs off her feet and then she'd bleed continually.

Honestly, I've never been a big fan of leopard geckos. I prefer the personalities of beardies more than geckos. I plan to keep these three for now and let them all get healthy. Plus, I need to come up with a name for the male & female. I will one day-- when I'm inspired. Or when I stop long enough to think about it. ;)

Lady Squinty Dink's New Skin
Lady Dink shed today! She's been rubbing all over her tank trying to get the old shed off. She's looking great! She didn't really like it when I kept misting her, but it did help her shed quicker.

My Favorite Kind of Shedding
All my beardies are shedding right now. Seriously, all of them.
But my favorite of all is baby Nip who suddenly split his old skin.
He's like a tiny beardie explosion! It's so cute!

Before and After Shedding, Kindle
Kindle before she shed--
Kindle after she shed--
She's so soft and fresh! Her mouth looks great. Such an adorable girl!! Her eyes are clearer too.
Shedding is such a good sign of health for them.

More than 2 Years!!
Ziggy was one of my very first rescues (well, number 39 of 130+). He was a beardie no one wanted because he was a grump! And for good reason-- look at how swollen his tail was! My vet amputated over an inch of it.
After waiting for over two years, Ziggy finally (Finally!!) shed off the old skin on his tail. I have tried everything to get his shed off and so has my vet & his techs.
Yesterday, all of the sudden, the thick shed fell off.
I'd given up on it ever coming off, but it did-- over 2 years later. His tail is still stumpy, but at least it's clean.

Remy's PJs
Remy was shedding again and his white shed made him look like he was wearing pjs. And then all of the sudden, his shed split and he popped out of them.
Shedding babies are adorable!
