Pictures of Hermy

Here's my old girl, Hermy. She's a 70-ish year old desert tortoise. 

She adores sugar snap peas.

She's got the cutest pink tongue! 

I've had Hermy the longest of all my animals and she's my favorite. :) 

Ferocious! And So Adorable!

Dragon's face was shedding and I helped get the stuck shed off his eyes and nose with a damp Q-tip. 

He was not happy. He tried to bite my finger and the swab the entire time. 

For being so sickly, I never expected him to be so big and so feisty. I thought he'd always be a limp noodley baby. 

He's loving his bigger tank and spends most of his time on his new perch. 

This has been his first time to climb up and that's all he wants to do. 

Dragon's Upgrade

Remember Dragon? 

He is growing SO big that I had to upgrade him to a 40 gallon tank. I didn't think he'd ever grow! 

A month ago, he was 78 grams. Today he is 147!!!!!! :O 

He is going through his Ferocious stage and thinks he's a beast. He's really way too adorable to be terrifying, but we don't tell him that. 

Pixie at the Vet

We took Pixie in for her yearly checkup today. 

She had a great time exploring the exam room while we waited for the vet. 

She *hated* the actual exam! But we didn't have to sedate her. 

She's great-- healthy weight and skin and eyes and teeth. No bloodwork needed, but they are running a fecal test just to be safe. 

A Farmer's Market

When I was on my vacation in California, I found the most amazing fruit & vegetable stand/shop in Moss Landing. 

It was incredible. I walked up and down the aisles and thought of how spoiled my reptiles would all be if I lived close to one like that. 

Dog Sitting

We've been watching my best friend's dog for the past 4 days. It's been SO much fun. Suzie is a great little dog. 

She loves being outside. 

This is her watching me closely because I was eating, but still starting to fall asleep. 

She plays well with my two dogs too. They chase each other around the living room. Belle has gotten older and doesn't like to play as much. Teddy has met his match with Suzie who outplays him daily. The extra playing has worn them both out.

Round Two

More apricots. I'm about sick of apricots! :) 

But homemade apricot jam on homemade bread is Amazing! So I'll suffer through it. 

Flame's Shed

Flame is shedding on his head and there's such a difference between his head and body! 

40!

It's my birthday today and I am now 40! I think I'll take a nap today and then give all my beardies an extra round of roaches. I'll stick to the birthday cake, thanks! ;)
