I think there were more, but I'll leave them to fertilize my plant.

Finally Finished!
After a long night, Verde Hissy Pants finally finished laying her eggs.
I checked on her several times to make sure she was okay. Each time she gave me the stink eye.
When I finally found her on top of the hole she had filled in, I pulled her out of the dirt.
She looks terrible. I'm going to let her warm up and then I'll get her hydrated.
I'm glad she made it. I have no idea how long she was waiting to lay eggs, but I'm glad she found the dirt in my pot.
Egg laying is so hard on the female chameleons! It amazes me she had the instinct and strength to do everything she just did.

Verde aka Miss Hissy Pants
This little girl *must* be Miss Prissy Pants' sister. She has got such an attitude!!
See???
Well today she went for a walkabout and disappeared. After searching, I found her here--
The stinker is laying infertile eggs in my plant!
Ugh! This is why I don't like female chameleons-- the stress of the egg laying is too much.
She's still in the pot digging and laying. I'll leave her there tonight and hope she crawls out of the pot on her own. Then I will dig out all the eggs.
Maybe after she's not pregnant she will be nicer??
I seriously doubt it, but it's nice to dream.

Chameleon Upgrades
Today I got a ginormous Reptibreeze cage in the mail and both chameleons got an upgrade.
Midori now is in this:
Verde (who is really Ms Prissy Pants 2) is in a bigger one:
But during the day she's mostly on the miniblinds (like Prissy was)--
And at night, she goes to the top of my ficus tree--
They are quite spoiled. Midori is scared to death of everyone and Verde has so much sass and attitude that she must be related to Prissy Pants!

Chameleons Update
Midori is doing great in his new set up.
I have an extra large Reptibreeze on its way for him. Until then his new plant was too tall and I had to be creative with a crate.
Verde has NOT been happy. :( The darker a chameleon is, the more stressed they are. She has been almost black for two days. I finally did what I did with Prissy-- I let her out and into my ficus tree. Finally her colors are normal.
My camera wouldn't take a quick picture and whenever I get close, she stresses out. So this blurry pic is as good as it gets tonight.
Poor girl. I don't like stressed reptiles and chameleons are SOOOO easy to stress. And then they die. :( I'm trying my best to keep her happy. She may have to be a free roamer like Prissy Pants was.

Verde, rescue 111
Tonight I rescued a juvenile female chameleon who I named Verde.
She wasn't in a *horrible* situation, but it wasn't very good either. :/ Poor cage, terrible diet (all veggies), not enough heat or humidity.
Verde's pretty stressed tonight so I put her in a quickly arranged Reptibreeze. It's not perfect, but it's also not in a cage held together with hot glue, twist ties, and clothespins.
Tomorrow I'll add a live plant or two and some more climbing branches.
