Star Wars Costumes!

My boys adore Star Wars so I had to create costumes for my beardies for them. I just made the Yoda ears prototype and I'll have to tweak it some. The Princess Leia & young Luke Skywalker costumes are already posted in my Etsy shop.

Our Little Loch Ness Monster

This is Bentley, our ornate box turtle. My son calls him "Feisty Pants" because he loves to bite your fingers! Lately, he's decided he's a Loch Ness monster and spends all his time in his water bowl. Every couple days I kick him out and change the water so it doesn't smell like a cess pool. Then he pouts and refuses to get back in it.

Sharks!

I got an order for SIX sharks today so I had to get sewing. I made a couple extras to have on hand for the next orders.

This is the first time I had made a light blue shark. It turned out great.

I added a bow for some sweetness to go with the sharkness. :)

And, of course, we can't forget how adorable they look on.

I need Inspiration for my Etsy shop please!

I've been feeling largely uninspired with creating beardie costumes for my Etsy shop which is why I haven't posted anything lately.

Yesterday I got a request to make a shark and I did that today (I was trying to stop stressing about a tarantula I'm babysitting). I'm SO excited with how it turned out!

So what else should I do? Leave your suggestions for future costumes in the comments below. PLEASE!

Lazy Days of Summer

Not much new to report around here. I have taken a break from taking in sickly reptiles and am just keeping my little collection of reptiles healthy. Max & Ziggy spend most of their days outside in their summer cages and *love* it. Sancho goes outside for a few hours a day. I'm still trying to get Daisy over her cold. Bentley has decided he's the Loch Ness monster and lives in his water dish.

Enjoy the warm weather with your reptiles. Direct sunshine is the single best thing you can do for your beardies (and other lizards) today. :)
